At Kingsbridge Primary School, we believe that history is an essential part of the National Curriculum. We shape our history curriculum to ensure it is fully inclusive to every child. Our aims are to provide a broad, balanced and differentiated curriculum that encompasses the British Values throughout; ensuring the progressive development of historical concepts, knowledge and skills; and for the children to study life in the past. We have an irresistible, ambitious and bespoke curriculum for all children to learn developed around the requirements of the National Curriculum. Our aim in History is to explore, think critically about the facts and opinions of people and events, to gain a sound understanding of how historical events and significant figures have shaped the modern world and the importance and impact Britain has played throughout these changes in time.
